TABO delivers title deeds to its customers in Kuwait

June 2, 2013

Kuwait: Mr. Khaled Al Sabawi, General Manager of Union Construction and Investment (UCI), and one of the founders of the TABO project delivers title deeds to a number of customers in Kuwait.

Title deeds were delivered in a dinner gathering, organized by UCI, Mr. Al Sabawi, TABO team members, hosting a number of TABO customers and journalists.

Mr. Al Sabawi stated during this event: “It is my utmost pleasure to be visiting Kuwait to meet our customers from the Palestinian community here. We come carrying their title deeds for lands they purchased in Palestine through the TABO project. Today we are proud that TABO was able to achieve its goal after many years of hard work issuing title deeds to be delivered to customers in Palestine and the Diaspora.”

Mr. Al Sabawi also added: “70% of land in the West Bank is unregistered, making it an easy target for Israeli confiscation. The importance of the TABO project stems from the fact that it facilitates the expansion of Palestinian property rights and thus protects Palestinian land from illegal settlement expansion.” Furthermore, he stated: “The total land area now registered through the TABO project is a small part of TABO’s ultimate goal. The TABO project will spread widely in the near future.”

It is worth noting that the TABO project has issued the first-ever title deeds in the history of some Palestinian towns such as Farkha and Broqeen in Salfit District.

Mr. Al Sabawi continued to say: “Last year we organized a series of promotional tours around the Arab world in order to meet members of the Palestinian community there and to introduce them to the TABO project. TABO has realized the dream of many of those Palestinians in owning a parcellized title deed land, without any hassle. The tours included a series of organized events in many Arab cities in Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Manama in Bahrain and Kuwait city in Kuwait.”

Moreover, Mr. Al Sabawi highlighted the efforts invested by UCI to develop the TABO lands. UCI has completed the construction of three model villas in Farkha and Broqeen in Salfit District and in Kufr Ein in Ramallah and Al Bireh District. Additionally, UCI has excavated and paved internal roads for its lands in Kobar B Masterplan and in Qarawat Bani Zaid in Ramallah and Al Bireh District. This development is a demonstration of UCI’s vision in delivering infrastructure services to develop land in these areas, although they should be delivered by the Palestinian government

TABO is UCI’s largest project, a leading company in the field of construction and real estate development in Palestine. Through intensive efforts, TABO was able to organize land located in the outskirts of the main Palestinian cities into master plans divided into one dunum parcels (1000 m2), classified residential. Through these master plans, all public services including green and public areas were provided granting each parcel proper planning, adequate space and easy access. Moreover, the continuous rise in the prices of land in the main Palestinian cities has deprived many Palestinian families- with limited income- the opportunity to own land in Palestine. Accordingly, TABO comes to answer an increasing need in Palestine through following up on all legal procedures on behalf of the customer to register land and transfer title deeds to their name without any effort by the customer.
